From the sweet yet melancholic album’s opener ‘Bermas’ to the soaring horn-infused swankiness of ‘Loro Con Loro’ this album glides between moments of discordant angst reminiscent of Sonic youth and haunting muses of vocal-led pop sensibilities echoing Portishead. Including the stand out track “Keep Cooler” together with a remix by the very talented Born Ruffians (Warp Records), this body of work is a remarkable sophomoric effort defining the indie movement of Latin America.

The journey this far is a tale of a musical connection formed in Brazil’s capital city while studying at the University of Brasilia.
The friendship of vocalist Camilla Zamith and guitarist Praxis would go on to span the Atlantic, with Camilla relocating to London and Praxis taking up residence in Rio de Janeiro, all the while collaborating across the digital expanse resulting in the duo’s first album “Chora Matisse”, released in 2009 under the moniker of Nancy. On the back of these initial efforts the band was formed, appearing at a number of festivals across Brazil, ultimately embarking on a boutique tour in the U.S. culminating in showcase performances at the hallowed SXSW festival in Austin, TX.
Fast forward to 2011 at Soma Electronic Music Studios in Chicago, under the engineering talents of John McEntire (Tortoise), the band’s signature tropical-chic musicality was captured in this full-length offering “Nunca Te Vi De Boa” which Far Out is delighted to present to a new audience.

The Beauty Room returns with their second album following on from their self-titled 2006 debut on Peacefrog Records. Recorded in L.A. and London the record updates and hybridizes folk, soul, RnB and soft rock of the late-60s and early-70s. World famous techno/electronica DJ and producer Kirk Degiorgio re-unites with vocalist Jinadu on a deeply musical record channelling the likes of the Doobie Brothers, David Crosby and Brian Wilson with a fresh sound all their own.
'The Beauty Room II' is Lush, romantic Rotary Connection type psychedelic soul beautifully played, sung and produced. It will take you on a journey past wonderfully familiar landmarks to a place you've never quite been before.

Dos Cafundós ‘Capitão Coração’
Founded 2002. Rio de Janeiro. A dastardly loving concoction of Frank Zappa, John Zorn and Mr Bungle processed through a Burrows-esque descent into musical madness. A post neo funk, prog-jazz, samba punk hybrid known as Dos Cafundós. Often frenetic, ever evolving, morphing through time signatures, moods and intensity ‘Capitão Coração’, the band’s first full length release, represents a broadening of Far Out Recordings’ sonic offerings showcasing the musical craftsmanship and diversity of Rio.
Four decades on and Azymuth has reached legendary status amongst fans worldwide and across the music industry thanks to the trio’s pioneering blend of traditional Brazilian jazz and proto funk fusion from the early 70’s right through to the present day.

An incredibly well thought out album both in pace, song selection and musicality, ‘Light As A Feather’ marked a maturing of the band as they began to rightfully utilise the studio as an instrument itself, embracing numerous mixing and recording techniques not yet common for the time as well as pioneering the use of the Big Muff and Dolby System to great effect. The end result is an album that edures to this day as a samba/jazz-funk masterpiece.
Now Far Out is pleased to present this seminal recording remixed and re-mastered from the original 16-track tapes, which were given to Joe Davis by Azymuth, lovingly reproduced on heavy weight vinyl and CD. Featuring previously unreleased tracks and remixes from house stalwarts Theo Parrish, Ashley Beedle, Mark E and more, this definitive edition of Azymuth’s breakthrough LP is a must-have for connoisseurs and an invaluable introduction to the Azymuth sound for the uninitiated.
Sadly with this re-release album well into production at the untimely recent passing of Jose Roberto Bertrami, ‘Light as a feather’ stands as a solemn reminder of our dearly departed friend and the effortless musical genius of Azymuth in their ascendancy.

'The Beauty Room II' was recorded at Sunset Sound - LA, British Grove - UK, Olympic Studios - UK and Studio Heuvellaan - Holland using the best session musicians including Chris Whitten (Johnny Cash, Paul McCartney, Dire Straits), Rob Harris (Jamiroquai), Brian Bromberg (Elvis Costello, Herbie Hancock) and engineered by Grammy-winning producer Peter Henderson (Supertramp, Frank Zappa). Perhaps the most exciting addition to the follow up is the incredible string arrangements of Paul Buckmaster (Elton John, David Bowie, Rolling Stones), which were recorded with the Metropole Symphony Orchestra in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
