Following the success of his now sold out sophomore album Rasif, Recife born jazz pianist Amaro Freitas is back on the road in Europe this summer! Pioneering a distinctly percussive approach to jazz that fuses the influence of afro-Brazilian rhythms and western contemporary classical music, Amaro will be joined by Jean Elton (Double Bass) and Hugo Medeiros (Drums) to play a series of dates across the Netherlands, UK, Hungary and Italy.
“In terms of both composition and improvisation, this is a totally gripping, vibrant and original synthesis of jazz and Brazilian music.” The Wire
