Far Out Recordings celebrate ten years in the business with ‘Off The Shelf’, a collection of classic, deleted and rare tracks from the 12” vaults of Far Out and sister label Solaria, released February 2003.

‘Off The Shelf’ kicks off with the sublime ‘Khameleon’ from Difusion (aka DJ Venom) who also contributes the flute-driven broken beat cut ‘Second Future’ and is a man held in high regard by the likes of LTJ Bukem and Peter Kruder. The classic Big Bang swinging-jazzer ‘Colours’ that was massive with Gilles Peterson is also included alongside Da Lata’s highly-sought after ‘Ponteio’. Flytronix’s unreleased jazz-shuffler ‘Elevator’ gets a debut airing whilst 4 Hero drop their massive summer 2000 hit ‘Smile’ under their Nature’s Plan guise. Mark Pritchard pops up twice, once under his Trouble Man alais with his now deleted afro-assault ‘Strike Hard’, and later under his own name with his seminal jazz-tech-step remix of Azymuth’sCarambola’. One of the original Brazilian D ‘n’ B cuts from 1996 - Roni Size’s legendary remix of Azymuth’s  ‘Faca Del Conte’ - also gets a welcome rewind.
