Raf Vilar
Raf Vilar, a musician who was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro has settled in London to explore his talent and creativity. Inspired by a childhood living next to the slums of Rio de Janeiro, Raf now lives in a bohemian warehouse in Brick Lane, London. Although in his mid-twenties, the maturity of his songwriting shines through. With plaudits from the the likes of Jamie Cullum and The Independent, his delicate balance of bossa, MPB and folk is his vehicle for his magical songwriting and intimate expression. For the past few years, he has played at some of the most respectable venues around the world, such as London’s Ronnie Scott’s, London Jazz Festival, New York’s World Music Shrine Harlem and Sao Luiz City Theatre in Lisbon.
