Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra - Freefall (Remixes) [2011]

Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra - Freefall (Remixes) [2011]

1. Freefall (Jose Carretas Remix)
2. Freefall (G & D Remix)

Far Out Recordings present the third 12” single of the Monster Disco Orchestra series. The first two instalments ‘Mystery’ (remixes from John Morales and 4 Hero) and ‘Dead Dance’ (remixes from Mark E and LTJ Xperience) sold-out instantly and Freefall promises to do the same with huge mixes from deep house DJ and producer Jose Carretas and legendary Italian DJs Gino Grasso and Dino Angelotti, from the infamous Pasta Boys, aka G & D.

Jose Carretas has a large following in the deep house scene as a member of the Restless Soul crew (together with the likes of Phil Asher, Luck McCarthy, Aaron Ross, Modaji), Gorillaz Soundsystem, and sought after DJ in his own-right. Carretas remixed Zeep for Far Out’s Brazilika compiled by Gilles Peterson and his latest disco funk remix for the label hits even greater heights.

DJ, producer, and respected collector Gino Grasso is the king of classy disco. Gino became great friends with Luca Trevisi aka LTJ X–perience (of Dead Dance - FOMDO 2) playing residencies at Garage Paradise and Boca Barranca. In 2007 Gino began producing edits for friends including Dimitri from Paris and Sadar Bahar. These Edits have received critical acclaim on the worldwide disco circuit. Dino Angelotti is one third of the Italian house DJ and producers Pastaboys. Their G & D Remix of Freefall is one of the duo’s finest productions to date.

Joe Davis (label founder) created the Monster Disco Orchestra alongside long-time Far Out producers David Brinkworth (Harmonic 313) and Daniel “Venom” Maunick (son of Bluey Incognito). Freefall is written by Joe Davis and Arthur Verocai and the stunning, soulful vocals are provided by Marcina Arnold and Mia Mendes. Written about the freefalling London stock market and ongoing credit crunch Freefall was recorded in Brazil with the Monster Disco Orchestra led by Azymuth’s Jose Roberto Bertrami, arranged by Arthur Verocai and with Rio’s finest musicians and hugely talented string section it is supersized disco like you’ve never heard before.
