Grupo Batuque - Keyzer (Kenny Dope Remixes) [2001]

Back when Far Out Recordings first started, Masters At Work were playing the earliest releases on the American club circuit. This support helped various tracks have a huge impact on the New York house scene. Tracks like Da Lata’s ‘Ponteio’, and ‘Space Jazz Carnival’/Azymuth (Global Communications mix) became much sought after club classics.

In acknowledgement of this long term mutual respect between MAW and Far Out Recordings, Kenny was approached to remix Grupo Batuques ’Keyzer’ from their last album ‘Africa Brazil’. The original track is dedicated to Banda Black Rio (Brazil’s premier Funk Group of the 70’s & friends of Batuque members) and Fela Kuti.
